Jaipur, July 28, 2026 — The Aravalli Future Foundation for Sustainable Development celebrated its 1st Foundation Day with immense enthusiasm, energy, and resolve at the historic Amer Fort complex in the Pink City of Jaipur. This grand and historic event witnessed a wonderful confluence of environmental conservation, cultural heritage, and fitness. The key highlight of this entire initiative was the special support of the Department of Archaeology and Museums, Government of Rajasthan, without whose active guidance and backing this historic event would not have been possible.
The grand event commenced as chief guest Shri Rajaram Meel and Amer Fort Superintendent Dr. Rakesh Chholak ceremoniously planted saplings with their own hands. On this auspicious occasion, chief guest Shri Rajaram Meel delivered a visionary message in his address, stating that to reduce the rising temperatures of the earth and regularize rainfall, we must plant trees on a massive scale. He emphasized that not just one or two, but crores of trees need to be planted, and assured his full and constant support in this great environmental campaign.
During the ceremony, Amer Fort Superintendent Dr. Rakesh Chholak shared an inspiring perspective on environmental welfare, stating, "Merely planting saplings is not enough; we must also ensure their complete upkeep and care. We should take special care of the plants for at least one year, because planting a tree is far better than nurturing it to maturity." Dr. Chholak's message inspired all attendees to become more accountable toward environmental protection.
Historic Partnership with the Department of Archaeology and Museums, Government of Rajasthan The Department of Archaeology and Museums, Government of Rajasthan, played the most crucial and central role in making this campaign a grand success, serving as our primary associating partner. Taking this collaboration forward, a major announcement was made that one thousand saplings will now be distributed at every historical site with the department's support, ensuring the preservation of our historical heritage alongside a greener, more prosperous environment.
Aravalli Foundation’s Research and Development Officer, Samreen, shared the roadmap for this mega campaign, informing everyone that the foundation has resolved to plant and distribute one hundred thousand (1 lakh) saplings during this monsoon season, work on which has already begun in full swing.
